Getting to Mindo from Quito is simple. You can drive or take a taxi directly via the Calacalí–La Independencia highway, which is a smooth and scenic route through the mountains. If you prefer public transportation, buses to Mindo leave regularly from Quito’s Terminal La Ofelia. The bus ride also takes about 2–2.5 hours and drops you right in the center of town. Once you arrive, everything is walkable or a short taxi ride away.
